Engagement Party!

Wynn's Dad and Step-mom hosted the most fabulous engagement party for us last Saturday night. We were so excited to see everyone together for the first time. All of Wynn's siblings were able to make it, as were my brother and sister. I think it goes to show that it's not always the big parties that are important. It meant so much to both of us to be able to celebrate our engagement with the people that matter most to us. Well, with the exception of Maggie, Wynn's mom.

Debbie and her amazing daughters were responsible for the delicious fare. I tried asparagus for the first time... yummy!

Wedding excitement!

We decided to plan a trip to Sin City for our big day! Though that was weeks ago, I felt the need to share. We've been to Vegas twice with lots of friends and family expecting us to come home hitched. Guess the third time will be the charm :)

I bought my dress today! It's girly and southern enough to keep me happy, simple enough for a small Vegas ceremony, and so cheap Clark Howard would be proud! I won an ebay auction today for a brand new David's Bridal gown that retails for $449.00 plus tax and shipping. My ebay price? $150, shipping included. Go Melly!
